The new fad for exercise in 2013 seems to be all about short intense workouts. Crossfit workouts for beginners at home are between 25 to 45 minutes long, depending on how many exercise routines and rounds you want to do. If you’re new to fitness and want to get in shape, but also want to save a little money by working out at home, then this type of exercise is affordable and effective. Not only is it less expensive than joining a gym, but the workout itself will definitely lean you up and build muscle. You will still need to invest in some gym equipment, but for Crossfit beginners starting from home, it will be relatively cheap.
Crossfit Workouts For Beginners At Home
Crossfit is officially defined as “constantly varied, functional movements executed at high intensity”. All this means is it combines a variety of cardio and strength exercises all in one. This workout is a full body workout and you’ll find that it does not use any high-tech equipment that you would see at a regular gym. Crossfit uses kettlebells, pull-up bars, Olympic-style weights, medicine balls, jump ropes and rowers. If you’re a beginner, we’re going to ease you into all of this with some substitute equipment that will get you where you need to be eventually.
The video below will show a very simple Crossfit workout from home (called Fran) it consists of two exercises, pull-ups and thrusters. Now not everyone at home has a pull-up bar for chin-ups and a barbell or dumbbells for thrusters, so you’ll need to invest in a equalizer (for pull-ups) and resistance band (for thrusters), which will be shown on the video below.
I hope this Crossfit exercise video for beginners helps you get really excited about getting in shape from home, but also making Crossfit a part of your weekly workout schedule. By doing these introductory Crossfit exercises first, it will give you the chance to build up and move on to more advanced workouts.
