Many of us wish we could get an extra 60 – 90 minutes a day to either hit the gym, go to a yoga class, do some lane swimming or run around the neighborhood. Often, we don’t have the time. Here’s a quick 5 minute workout at home; no need for a gym membership as this can be done anywhere! Research has suggested that short, intense workouts can supercharge your metabolism for the entire day and work much better than a slow and steady workout.
5 Minute Workout At Home
Research conducted on intense, five-minute exercises showed that these 5-minute training sessions performed throughout the day actually improved one’s blood pressure more dramatically than a longer workout. Below is a great video of home exercises done in 5 minutes that’s easy to do and works great!
The exercises involved are not overly complicated and can be done anywhere. The best thing about it is no gym membership is required. All the exercises are body weight routines:
1- Simulation Jump Rope- 1 min
2- Ice skaters- 1min
3- Mountain Climbers- 1 min
4- High Knees- 1 min
5- Burpee Jumps- 1 min
I always believe that something is better than nothing and by doing this 5 minute workout at home, once a day or even a few times a day, your heart rate goes up, you develop and sculpt your muscles and you help with stretching your entire body in 5 minutes.
