Trying to lose weight fast isn’t easy and impossible to sustain if it’s through a ridiculously low calorie diet that’s extremely restrictive. When you put your body through such diets you starve it from calories that are required to keep your energy levels high which can lead to binge eating (junk food) because you’re so hungry. A great way to lose weight, healthy but fast, is to maintain a balanced diet with some great exercise programs throughout the week. One great way to shed those unwanted pounds is to burn fat on a treadmill! If you have treadmill at home then you have a great way to lose weight fast and you won’t need any extreme weight loss diets to go with it.
Burn Fat On A Treadmill
If you’re new to exercising, especially if you’ve never used a treadmill before, then you should ease into it with either a fast walk or a slow jog, two to three times a week, 30 minute sessions. Once you’ve become comfortable with that, then gradually move over to the 2 exercises I’ve outlined below. On LiveStrong.com they discuss two great workouts that can help you destroy fat on a treadmill.
Add hills. One workout each week should be a hill workout. You can use the hill workout programmed into the treadmill or manually adjust the incline of the treadmill. Don’t use the hills as an excuse to slack off. Try to maintain your normal running or walking speed for the duration of the workout. Aim for 20 to 30 minutes on the treadmill.
Another piece of great advice mentioned in the article is to add one treadmill workout a week, that is twice as long as your easy treadmill day.
Get faster. Run intervals for one workout each week. Those who normally walk should add some jogging intervals, if you normally jog, add some sprints. Most treadmills have pre-programmed selections that include interval workouts, or you can create your own. After a ten minute warm-up, speed up for 30 to 60 seconds. After a 60 to 90 second recovery, repeat the interval again. The entire workout should last between 30 and 45 minutes, including the warm-up and a 10-minute cool down.
Now not a lot of people know how to burn fat on a treadmill, but if you give these two exercises a try, I guarantee you’ll see results. The only way you’ll burn fat is if you keep these types of routines up on regular basis.
